BLS (Basic Life Support) is the course most people in the medical field will need to sign up for. We offer the full course and a renewal course for those already certified. This course covers CPR for 1 and 2 rescuer scenarios, the use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), and choking for all ages. Nurses, doctors, EMTs, physical therapists and most workers in the medical field require this certification. Our HeartSaver CPR/AED course is for non-medical providers, and depending on your specific needs, can be taken with or without First Aid. The CPR/AED portion includes CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) instructions and practice rounds for infants, children and adults, as well as a full introduction to the use of an AED and how to relieve choking in victims of all ages. Depending on your profession and employer, you can determine if you will need the First Aid course; this covers all the important steps to take in basic medical emergencies, from allergic reactions, insect bites, shock and more. Common jobs that require this kind of training are home caretakers, personal trainers, teachers, construction workers and more. Remember, you’ll want to confirm with your employer if they require you take First Aid with your CPR training.
